I bet you have not heard much about Checheng beach, or Checheng Township itself.
Most likely, even if you were a frequent visitor to Kenting, you most likely drove through Checheng township area without stopping by – maybe only if you were staying in H-resort, which actually deserves at least 1 night’s stay.
What do we know about Checheng Township?
Fuan temple, Haikou Tourist Coastal Area, ATV beach cars (now with unclear future), and Sichongxi Hot Spring area come to mind.
However, Checheng township has its own coastal area, or if you want – beach, which has been specially built for the convenience of the tourists, with a big coastal promenade for a walk, a flat and nice beach to play, and probably a good place to catch sunset photos if Guanshan sunset platform is too crowded for you.
Checheng Coastal Promenade is just a perfect place for running or at least walking in the sunset.

To get to this beach, and have the relaxing experience on the windy promenade, you will need to wear off the Coastal Highway Nr.26 and turn right near the white hotel, at this junction.
This is really worth doing, since the other, even more, secret beach on the way to Checheng beach will be Golden Coast Beach, which we reviewed in this post.
So, you can visit both – first stop by Golden Coast Beach, and then drive down further to Checheng Beach.
