Kenting is a summer destination for water activities, where tourists love to enjoy the feeling of immersing themselves in nature by the seaside. Kenting Water Space Inn is the only large-scale indoor water park in the area, which was once underestimated by the industry.
However, it has been proven that while Kenting’s recreational beaches often become off-limits due to large waves during the summer, the water park can satisfy water-playing enthusiasm regardless of sunny weather, windy conditions, or rain.
This year, due to typhoons and closures, the recreational beaches were inaccessible or prohibited for water activities for up to 10 days, doubling business performance. It even boosted the occupancy rate of accommodations.

The ever-changing summer climate in Kenting was the main reason for the birth of the water park. At that time, our investment vision was questioned by the industry, and the prospects were seen as bleak!
The water park was not only the first in Kenting but also the first indoor large-scale water park in the whole country. Some competitors jokingly asked why tourists would go indoors to play when they loved the feeling of being in nature on the beach. However, the indoor design at the time was intended to provide a comfortable environment free from outdoor heat, and it wasn’t limited by typhoons or rainy seasons.

He mentioned that summer vacation is the traditional peak season in Kenting, attracting many families with children. The water park’s water facilities are diverse and suitable for the whole family. Friends can leisurely drift on the lazy river, children can experience progressively increasing wave excitement in the artificial ocean, and everyone can enjoy the fun of popular water slides.
There’s also the water column splash area loved by all ages, providing moments of relaxation. It has been proven that when the beach is closed due to typhoons or high waves, the popularity of the water park is even greater than during sunny weather.
During this year’s summer vacation, when Typhoons Doksuri and Khanun passed through, Kenting’s recreational beaches were closed due to the issuance of maritime typhoon alerts or high waves caused by southwest winds, resulting in up to 10 days of closures.
Business performance instantly doubled, and some families traveling with children were attracted to the indoor water world for accommodations, thus boosting the occupancy rate. A parent from Taichung, for instance, brought their child to Kenting’s beach during Typhoon Doksuri, only to find the coast completely closed. The water world on that day made up for their disappointment of being unable to play in the water.
