One of the biggest challenges you will have with Chateau Beach Resort is that you will never (unless of course, you come on Wednesday in winter, is to never get an early check-in.
I mean it.
I probably was in Chateau Beach Resort dozens of times, and never (even as for a returning customer – which they by the way also do not recognize, nor do you get any benefits of being one), and never I got a chance to get in early into the room.
This is probably fine, if you drive from northern Taiwan, then maybe you even will not arrive before 3 p.m, but if you do arrive – then you usually are checked in, and when you leave your phone number to be called when the room will be ready. The room will be ready at 3 p.m, do not entertain false hopes.
This is where Ocean View Cafe 臨海咖啡廳 comes in handy. You get a free drink coupon – by 1 get 1 free by the way.

Now, don’t get me wrong – this is also a bar, so maybe you want to come here at evening… but will you? Remember, you are few hundred meters away from THE (!) one and only Kenting Night Market, with “not only bars and food”.
Now, the hidden place, that nobody knows exist in Chateau is also this Arcade Room, as they call it, take a look at it in VR tour above maybe worth a visit for you.

When you look around the video, be sure to take attention on 2 things. First, listen to the sound ambience – it really have this jazzy ambience here, so if you want pull out notebook and work a bit – feels just right.
The second thing to notice is – turn to the window, and you will then judge yourself how “ocean view” Ocean View Cafe really is. While yes, it definitely has a view of the ocean on back – but still most you see are grass yard and steps of the resort itself. However, I do not judge here – see yourself in the video.

What do we see here? Besides the entrance to the cafe, turn to the other side and look down to see a lobby of Provence hall , and the one on left is a shop, where you can buy some amenities such as creams, swimsuits and beyond.
Nothing much to comment about food here, since it is limited to some cakes, ice cream and drinks, maybe sandwiches.
After you have had your coffee, and still not checked in, you would probably want to take a walk in this Chateau Beachwalk Promenade as well.
