Officer Lin Wei-shun 林韋舜 from the Fenggang Police Station, Fangliao Precinct, recently received an urgent 110 call for assistance.
The call reported a mentally unstable woman, Yu, who was riding a motorcycle and traveling from Kaohsiung City toward their jurisdiction. The police were requested to locate her urgently.
After receiving the report, the officers from the Fenggang Police Station immediately conducted a search within their jurisdiction. Shortly after, they found Ms. Yu, 55 years old, outside a convenience store in Fangshan Township.
The police approached her and showed concern, informing her about the search. Yu explained that she was missing her sister and wanted to relive the happy memories of their trip to Kenting together. However, due to her blurred memory, she had been riding aimlessly and became physically exhausted. She decided to rest in front of the convenience store.
The police found her exhausted and decided to return her to the station in their patrol car for some rest. They immediately contacted her family to inform them that the Fenggang Police Station had found her and was safe.
As she was feeling unwell, the police accompanied her to the hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, the doctor confirmed that she was not seriously injured and could be discharged after a short rest.
Subsequently, her family rushed to the Fenggang Police Station to complete the search process and take her home to rest. They expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the officers of the Fangliao Police for their warm assistance.
