Fu'an Village 福安村

Fu'an Village 福安村

Fuan Village is located in the central part of Checheng Township. The entire area belongs to a section of the Hengchun Valley Plain, suitable for agricultural development and settlement.

As early as the late Ming and early Qing periods during the migration of mainland immigrants to Taiwan, our village became one of the earliest developed bases.

Even today, the village retains numerous historic buildings and streets, with the “Fuan Temple” being a notable representation. This temple is dedicated to the Earth God (土地公)  and is known for its grand and majestic architecture. It has a reputation for its divine blessings and widespread popularity, making it Taiwan’s largest Earth God temple.

“Green Bean Garlic 綠豆蒜” is a renowned local delicacy from Fuan Village. The original shops are located near Fuan Temple in the Fuan Temple Local Food Market and offer a unique flavor that receives praise from everyone. Another famous local specialty is the “Hongren Duck Egg 紅仁鴨蛋.”

Currently, most village residents engage in agricultural work, cultivating crops such as onions and rice. There are no factories or other manufacturing industries within the village.
