The diving instructor arrived at the Kenting pier, intending to show the students the marine ecosystem, but to their dismay, they discovered a motionless fish trapped by a fishing hook.
Upon closer inspection, they realized it was the popular celebrity fish known as “Niu Gang,” also affectionately called “Da Niu, 大牛 – Big Cow”.
The depressed scuba diver sighed as they realized that overly friendly fish end up dying in the hands of humans. The authorities conclude that enticing illegal fishing activities are taking place, and the city management emphasizes that fishing is not permitted at Houbi (Houbihu) Lake Fishing Port.

Engaging in fishing activities in that area can result in a fine of NTD3,000 according to the National Park Act. There are indeed fish in that location. From the image in the photo, it appears that the fishing line has been exposed and the fish has been dead for several days. We will dispatch personnel to the site for investigation as soon as possible.

Last year, it was also captured on camera at the Kending pier, showing gratitude with a fishing hook hanging from its mouth, trailing a long fishing line as it darted away underwater.
Once again, someone has violated fishing regulations, and this has caught the attention of divers who can no longer turn a blind eye.
