Most likely, if you do not live somewhere on east side, or right up in Taipei city, in this case you might choose to travel down to Kenting using east side highways, otherwise, you most likely will end of somewhere on Coastal Highway 1, and sooner or later reach Fangshan township.
One moment road starts heading more and more to the west, until you really notice, that you are driving just near the sea.
This is where Kenting mood sets in!
Usually this happens somewhere at Fangshan township, and this is where you will start notice interesting road side cafe’s – some of them are as simple as truck with a chairs and umbrella, however – this is what you need to get into Kenting mood!
The place I always get into Kenting mood is called A-Jie roadside cafe, or 阿傑咖啡.
park roadside, step outside the car, and you can sit on any of these chairs, take a look:
You can also go down to the rocky Fansghan beach, this is how it looks like:

If you decide to drive a bit more further down, you will find a similar to A-jies cafe truck with chairs, called Hetian cafe, which also offers a nice view of the Turtle rock on Fangshan beach.
